John: “Beware about positioning yourself as the hero!  Make sure the client is the hero and you are the trusted guide. You want to be seen as their Wealth and Well Being Guide. You are the one that will guide them to where they want to be in terms of them feeling in control of their personal and business affairs and feeling good about life because they are providing a better life for themselves and their families.”

Proven strategies for showcasing advisory’s value?    

John: “Tell stories. Record client experiences – a short video is sometimes better than a long-written story. Make sure you highlight both the financial benefit and non-financial benefit the client in the story has received by working with you. We call it pound notes and smiley faces!”
